Brisbane Wooden Watch

This wooden watch is both sporty and elegant, making it the perfect fit for the diverse city of Brisbane. It is made of light brown mango wood, which creates a connection to the so-called Sunshine State, where Brisbane is located. Combined with the deep blue dial, the ‘Brisbane’ wooden watch is the perfect companion for every day.

The dial features 3 chronographs, which can be used in combination with the stopwatch (button at the top right). The white hand is the stopwatch’s second hand, while the lower chronograph also displays the minutes. In the right circle runs the watch’s own second hand, and the day of the week is displayed in the left chronograph. The watch also clearly displays the date. The hour and minute hands glow in the dark.

The case has a diameter of 45.0 mm and weighs only 50 grams. The movement is a precise Swiss Ronda movement. The watch is splash-resistant; however, you should remove it when showering or swimming.

Mango wood is an ideal raw material. The trees grow on the plantation for approximately 7–15 years and bear many fruits during this time. Afterwards, the tree is cut into pieces and can be used for other purposes. For this reason, it is a great byproduct of mango production. The wood itself is very light yet very hard—it has properties very similar to those of teak.
